Hi Soul bros and sisters,
Told you January was speeding by - 2nd of Feb today and I'm taking a sickie
Been working my butt off and I'm in need of a mental health day, so kept my PJs on and I'm catching up with some 'other stuff'.
I've been listening to Radio 1 in the mornings and Chris Evans on Radio 2 at tea-time (makes travelling more fun). Trouble is my mini radio doesn't get to pick up the signal all the time, so I'm just listening to a good bit of banter and the signal goes - doh!
Anyway, the bits I get give me a giggle, such as 'What should you know, but don't?' And that got me thinkin (and it hurt!). Training to be a teacher means you're expected to know lots of stuff and when you're taking a lesson you can't come across ditsy, or you've lost 'em. Unfortunately for me, there are times when I can be the ditsy type (the odd blonde moment here and there, even if it is out of a bottle ;D), and the worst thing is, when you're in mid flow - PowerPoint presentation, delivering a topic to level 5 management accountants - and your mind suddenly goes blank; you can't think what you were saying or what to say next, it's all gone (just for a moment), it's like those dreams when you suddenly find yourself in the middle of the dancefloor in your knickers or something - the camera looms in for its close-up shot and you've had it ;D ;D ;D
Luckily I survived my moment this time, and the group were really great - I just took a long deep breath and waited for it all to come flooding back - it did, and the group went along with it - how lovely of them Don't know how a group of hormonal teenagers would deal with it - I'll keep you posted, it's bound to happen at some point over the next few months
Anyway, have a good month - I'll be looking to add some more fave tunes to my web pages this month; January didn't get a look in. Keep posting...
KTF, Lovin'
